Rejuvenate With A Body Detox
January 20, 2008 by Lucy
We encounter pollution every single day, it’s everywhere. At work, in the street even at home and sometimes you may doubt the cleanliness and purity of the water you drink or of the food you eat. In the everyday world you can hardly get away from air pollution, be it from smokers, sprays, exhaust fumes from vehicles or industry.
This can greatly affect your health in one way or another. Don’t be so sure that when your body does not seem to react, that everything is all right.
For these reasons, detoxification is necessary in order to flush out the impurities and keep a healthy body, which will result in a much more rejuvenated and energized you.
Our body has its own means of healing and detoxifying. However, when pollutants and toxins that enter our body accumulate, we are giving our inside system a hard time. The tissues become stressed and sometimes malfunction because of it and because they are weakened, the natural cleansing process is also affected.
We definitely want to keep our bodies clean on the inside and out. But we also need to help our system in regulating the body processes. But don’t wait for your organs to become stressed and overworked before doing something about it. Sometimes when the body lacks what it takes to keep the systems working, drastic measures are necessary. The 5-day detox plan will do a great job in cleaning out and keeping the inside system working. The detox plan will rejuvenate the body as well as the spirit, keeping it clean and toned.
During the 5 day period of detoxification, certain foods are avoided. Your meals consist mainly of fresh fruits and green vegetables. Fats, oil, preservatives and food additives are out as well as meat, which isn’t a good idea either because it takes longer to digest and get through the system. For a day or two, eating meat in any form is not advisable.
Ideal foods that can be part of your diet are garlic, broccoli, beets, and beans or nuts. Only fresh fruit extracts for drinking except grapefruit. As well drinking six to eight glasses of water is recommended daily. Water is also a major factor in the detoxification process. It flushes out the toxins from you body in the form of perspiration, and natural bodily wastes.
While detoxing you may seem to eat less, but you wont starve, and ironically you will even boost your stamina. This is because your intake is limited only to foods that are healthy and good for the digestive system.
Your detoxification plan should be carried out at least once every 3 months. To ensure that a detox is suitable for you, consult your doctor or professional nutritionist.
The detox process will flush out unwanted and unhealthy toxins from your body and supply you with both physical and mental alertness and new energy. A fully body rejuvenation.
Cleanliness should be maintained not only in the outside, but also on the inside and a full body detox can help you achieve this quickly and painlessly.
